The final official illustration to this Aftermath series of mine! We finally have Twilight Sparkle in all her crazy glory based around the Grimdark/Horror fan-fiction called ‘Experiments of Twilight Sparkle’. ;v;
Personally, I haven’t read or listen to the fan-fiction since I believe it’s not very high quality writing but it gave me crazy, dramatic ideas of a dark themed illustration to end the Aftermath series! It took so, so long to finish this illustration out and it took even longer to upload it here; I made the original sketch of this drawing in January, briefly forgot about it, then I suddenly remembered this last drawing so I decided motivate myself in finishing the lineart, shading, and background. <33
It was a bit of a push but I’m relieved to finish it off. I’ll add a small description/backstory around this drawing so it can make more sense! <3

When Twilight Sparkle finished the spell Starswirl the Bearded couldn’t completed and Princess Celestia send over to her to analysis, the glow of the Element of Harmony filled the room for a long moment before drowning out.
The spell failed with mass of confusion running through all the mares, but the most shocked was Twilight Sparkle. Standing with stone cold legs with the element of magic crown on top of her head being shattered and broken around her.
With widened, sunken eyes, her hooves scrabbled at the pieces of stone with deepened horror. The spell denied her. And with that, soon did Princess Celestia know of the failure with shocked disappointment and concern. Princess Luna, Celestia, and Cadence all heard about the news of the spell denying the violet unicorn. Yet out of everypony, Twilight was hit the hardest with her element of harmony destroying itself and then denying such an important spell that her mentor gave her to complete. She couldn’t complete it. She can’t complete it. And more so, everypony felt so sorry for her…
That made her eyes twitch and her stomach to boil in a feeling she’d hasn’t felt so strongly before. Anger. Days turned into weeks, Twilight Sparkle the Unicorn grow more and more into the hole of science, confusion, and wanting to know what went wrong. Then weeks turned into months. Her friends were barely able to see her anymore and one day, when Princess Celestia saw Twilight’s condition decided to tell her about what she had laid out for her, what she had planned, and what the spell would have done. After that, the unicorn seemed to run a blank as her studies reached a dead end. A dead end on Celestia’s end…If she couldn’t get anymore studies of the Magic of Friendship. Then she’ll make some. After losing her morality, sanity, and hold on reality; she violently experimented on all her friends one at a time inside of her scientific basement. None of them survived. Yet, she did gather another information after that to push her next goal.
If she wasn’t going to be given wings to become an Alicorn, then she’ll make it so. To make Celestia proud. To make herself proud. The princesses didn’t see it coming, they all wanted to help her, they couldn’t hurt their friend, their student, their sister in law…But Twilight could.
When the guards arrived to stop the commotion, it was too late. All the Princesses were laying motionless, their wings shredded and removed to be placed on another’s back. Twilight Sparkle was sitting on the throne, a mad grin across her giggling face as she continued to sew the foreign limps into her spine. She didn’t care about the pain, she didn’t care about the blood. No pain, no gain as she told herself. Celestia would be proud…
‘You heard that Princess Celestia? You’re proud of your prized student right? I’m an Alicorn now, just like you wanted…Are you proud of me now?…’
‘Princess Celestia?…’
