I don’t think it’s accurate to say that Zipp looks CMC aged here tbh. The CMC were noticably bigger than Zipp is, here, even in S1 of FiM, and in the flashbacks of baby Zipp we got so far, Zipp did naught but giggle and make noises. As did the other Mane Five when they got transformed. Meanwhile the CMC were speaking full sentences as fully functional kids in S1.

I think Pipp is true baby pony aged in that left portrait and Zipp is ballpark a couple years older than her. Still very much a foal.

My headcanon puts Zipp at 2-3 years older. We’ll see if we ever get age confirmation in the comics or series’.

Am I right in that it’s shown that Pipe was an infant when Zipp was a CMC-aged child? That age gap might be useful to know.
