Description

I realized that I haven’t uploaded many of the nice SFW panels from my comics and have focused mostly on the porn part, so I’m fixing that. :)

Fair enough. :) I still try to avoid that sort of thing when possible, just as an element of my style. Most of the time any light you see is cast by a light source in the scene. Dunno why I’m so big on that, but I like it.

Well, that’s why I thought it was a limitation of the tool, not the artist. The intensity and focus of stage lights is outside what something like Blender would normally have to deal with. Working around the limitations of a tool is skill, not cheating :-)

Dunno I’d call it cheating. That’s a harder scene than it appears. And it looked just fine to me the first time round, it’s only now with a second chance to focus on it that I noticed.

You caught me. I probably shouldn’t have cheated with the lighting, but I couldn’t get a good enough shot with just the light from the diegetic lamps >.<

Y’know, I’m always amazed at how accurate a scene a talented artist can produce with Blender, but I think this one went beyond it’s limits. Either all the lights on the light bridge are off, and the stage is lit by a spotlight more-or-less in the viewers location, in which case the shadows are kinda wrong; or the lights on the light bridge are on, in which case the shadows are wrong in a different way. That said, it’s very unlikely anyone who hasn’t done stage lighting would ever notice :-)
(I wonder if anyone still uses those big-ass PAR style lamps. For years now all I’ve seen are the smaller LED style, usually with a motor to pan & tilt remotely. Hanging the big ones was a pain, and invariably at least one cable would be too short to put the light where it needed to be).
