If I recall, a single shot from a beam weapon (even a beam rifle) could severely damage or destroy a colony even in Universal Century. That’s why fights inside colonies (i.e. the first episode of the original and in War in the Pocket) always used solid-ammo weapons or beam sabers.

I’m talking about within the anime itself. The SFreedom doesn’t get any damage in the final fight.

As far as all the games go it’s actually quite wussy. It’s more annoying-as-crap juggler especially in the Musou series. Not sure how the Wing would stack up in an anime fight but given Heero’s god-like omniscient abilities I imagine his one shield could handle all of the dragoons. As far as games go Wing is always one of the most broken though.
 
Turn A Gundam is the most powerful, but the pilot is both unwilling to utilise its full potential and plain and simply doesn’t know how. Also funnily enough the nuclear bomb only gives love-tap damage, it just launches you really far.

Well, V2 Gundam is damn powerful, but it’s not to the point that you’d say it’s overpowered in a way.
 
Turn A is pretty much the most powerful, and then there’s Quan(T).

Nu Gundam was way cooler. Char’s Counterattack ruled.

You’re referring to the Nu Gundam, which is Amuro Ray’s ultimate MS (not counting Hi-Nu). Of course it’s gonna be in, it’s also his personal MS. It’s like putting in Koji Kabuto without Mazinger Z.

@RIG Oh yeah, that’s Nu Gundam. I was honestly never all that impressed with it, it seemed like a poor fusion of original Gundam and Qubeley, although the Finnel shield is a nice trick. Although if you wanna talk overrated and overpowered, Wing Gundam is basically THE gundam for everyone born in the 90s. Also responsible for non-Gundam fans thinking all Gundams can blast holes through entire colonies and are stupidly unrealistic (especially amusing coming from n00b Macross fans.)

read my other comment, i confused this gundam with “finn funnel!” gundam, the one that is in almost all the recent SRW games.

He’s not in THAT many of the games. There was a huge gap in its appearances at one point. It’s also pretty weak compared to the majority of robots that appear in the games it’s in.
