Fluttershy has one of the better color schemes of the Mane Six, actually. And green does compliment her base yellow/pink/light blue, so yeah. Rarity knows what works.

Fun Fact: Back in the day, “wearing a green dress” was a euphemism for making out outdoors, i.e. on the grass. That’s why it’s considered rude to give a lady a green dress; it implies that you’re propositioning her.
