Alternatively, and workable, is that she’s been adopted by a non-pegasus loving couple or even a single parent that cares for her dearly, in either case where they have no other siblings (hence the need for RD as an older sister figure). The house would support that idea.

Also, Yeah, This could be an orphanage. Just a small one though because all of the other little fillys have loving families and she’s the only orphan in the whole town :P
That’s why she gets her own room. Because there’s nobody there to be an orphan buddy with her.
This. I’m thinking maybe she’s an exchange student living in a small complex, or a home for young pegasi learning to care for themselves (as per typical fanon of full-bred pegasi leaving their parents when young).

And if that’s meant to be an orphanage, that’s a tiny freakin’ one. That’s a residence.
It doesn’t mean she necessarily has a biological family (she can still be an orphan), but no she’s not living in the streets.
Or maybe it’s just, y’know, where she lives, with her parents that we never see. (don’t get me wrong, I kinda like the idea of her being an orphan, but there’s no basis for it in canon)

She isn’t, she lives at the Orphanage, that is a sort of home
