So what? It's a name. Stop trying to make a connection to a dead person and a fictional character. It was a parody. And I doubt Chanel corporation brought that up to spur Hasbro to make the change. Applejack is named after an alcoholic beverage. Guess we need to change that too right? Twilight has the first name of a Vampire. Well there she goes as that's related to horror and stuff. Can't have little kids seeing that. I mean we could go anywhere with this, but the fact is it's just a name. Nothing more. I doubt even the people that though up Coco Pommel even bothered to dig deep and research Coco Chanel fully.
And what of Derpy? I mean they went so far as to remove the episode and make her eyes straight and changer her voice as well. Granted they brought her back later, but only after a backlash from the fans missing her. I feel Hasbro just jumped the gun and saw they might have to spend money defending something so they said fuk that! Change that characters name. No one will miss her.
