what if that is scootaloo’s mom? she was going to give Scootaloo a birthday present, but then some magical stuff happened and she got turned into a breezie and also lost her memory. the portal was open at that time so she wen’t through it, started living, her and Seabreeze fell in love, till this day Scootaloo and her dad still wonder where she is, and sometimes saddens Scootaloo somedays, and on Scootaloo’s mom’s birthday they always sing a song, a song that she used to sing to both her husband and Scootaloo…

At this point, SeaBreeze longingly remembered the daughter they had to abandon because of the great pollen drought of a few years back. They were so desperate they used magic to turn her into a pegasus so the ponies could take her in, even though the spell could never make her wings work properly.
 
And she looked just like her mother, too…

This part really hit me by surprise. Plus, it does explain why he was so hell-bent on getting home as soon as possible: He had a wife and child waiting for him there.
