Yeah, I was actually really happy that she was sentient and talked. Really made her more “different” than the vast majority of the hostile mythological FIM monsters we’ve seen so far.
 
Then again, if you’ve got a creature with multiple heads of different species, it would be a missed opportunity to not give it bickering heads.

this was a cool creature but it proves soemthing else.
 
ponies are FUCKING badasses.
 
their world is technically a death world but they thrive in it. why? cause their magic and ignenuity make them far too difficult prey to deal with for the likes of this creature or even stronger ones. sure there is probably an occasional poor soul who is lsot to a monster, but ultiamtely ponies are mystical creatures themselves………
 
ironically this creature may also be the first legitimate monster in the series. most others are strange beasts of some form, yet only mosntrous in appearance and demeanor. this one is, so far, theo nly sapient creture we have seen that will actively kill and eat a fellow sapient being……. that is psycho.
 
fortunately we have Luna who can take care of the chimera if she actually manages to hurt anypony.

if seems DHX did its homework, in the original greece mythos, the chimera was part tiger, not lion, they were all female and wingless.
