There can be multiple, independendent instances of insolence.
(Haha! Unintended alliteration!)
There is plenty of precedent in English for pluralizing normally uncountable nouns whenever one intends to recognize multiple, distinguishable types or instances.

I’m pretty sure insolence isn’t pluralized. There can be more or less of it, but not multiple discrete quanta.
