You know what I would’ve liked to see, instead of Twilicorn? The adventures of Professor Sparkle, traveling Equestria and solving problems with the MAGIC! OF! SCIENCE! (SCIENCE SCIENCE science science)
When you think about it, Twilight’s scientific mind is a severely underutilized character trait, and it’s one that really could make her stand out in Equestria, land of magic and myth. There’d be some great opportunities for lore-building with her studies into Sufficiently Analyzed Magic, and now that she’s learned all she can about friendship, the show could go on to teach the audience the basics of scientific thought.
>science
I think you give the writers far too much credit
OH! now you are talking!
i guess “the basics of scientific thought” sounded too big of a term for me.
Having more friends doesn’t mean being a good friend or even knowing more about friendship.
@Background Pony #CBBE
Pinkie is friends with everypony in Ponyville. She’s certainly a better source on friendship than Twilight Sparkle, who has spent an indeterminate amount of time learning basic social skills that a foal should know.
@paluzna
I’m not saying we should teach preschoolers advanced quantum mechanics. Just stuff like not believing things without evidence, not drawing sweeping conclusions from insufficient sample sizes, the importance of experimentation in discovering how the universe works, how to properly apply Occam’s Razor, how to avoid confirmation bias, and so forth.
yeah its silly, but it isnt being ofensive or anything of the sort.
And no, Pinkie spreads laughts, no friendship, is not the same.
Show for little girls.
hahahahaha
I wasn’t really referring to friendship, but I wasn’t say I wouldn’t support the idea, just that such an idea could result in…controversy at some point.
Who says the magic of friendship can’t follow the scientific method?
You are just a nice pony that don’t want to see others sad.
Not the same thing.
Scientific method?! Blasphemy is what much of the audience would yell.
Instead of traveling Equestria spreading friendship, she’d be spreading critical thinking and the scientific method. Instead of friendship lessons, each episode could tackle a specific cognitive bias or logical fallacy.
