Yeah…unless I hear otherwise, I’m counting this as a blooper. I’m pretty sure that the black splotch is meant to be part of her cutie mark; though if it isn’t, then honestly, I’m not too fussed anyway.
And I like the purple one on Nightmare Moon’s rump too.
It is cute, just to me would better fit if it was part of the cutie mark. But then again Celestias mark is just also a simple sun with nothing fancy added.
They got splotchness all over, but sometimes only on the rearquarters.
