Speak for yourself.
As for the last I can only say that you are a racist, you divide humankind in terms of race and validate your arguments wrongfully trough pseudo sciences as Phrenology. Cranial differences among others biological discrepancies are easily found between members of the same family.
this is the last I will publish anything in this thread, It has gone far to long and to contribute any more would be pointless.
love and tolerate
Good bye and be well
Good intention but poor implementation because for all of us our race is Human and can only be subdivided in Homo Sapiens Sapiens and in Homo Sapiens Idaltu (extinct) other classification may come ONLY from Lineage and ethnic backgrounds and not anatomy or Biological anthropology.
When people take the title of race to describe their ethnic group, they are exercising self-segregation.
Peace out /)
@butoman
Well, I be sure to let my grandma know she needs to be very angry about this as soon as possible and that she should tell my aunts and my mother to join her in her enourmous anger about it.
I’m mocking your generalizing, by the way.
Also, who the fuck gets angry with latino? That makes no sense.
And we are not that thrilled about the term “Latino” either
I have only a outsider’s perspective of the US Latino experience, and the opinions of Family and friends from there
But as for the rest of us
Yes, yes we do. ALL THE DAMN TIME
Is this an US Latino thing other latinos don’t really care about?
I don’t really see a real problem. I mean there’s a New York in New York & two major Washington’s on opposite sides of the USA,so I don’t see why the Americas can’t have a country called America in it.
Yes, yes we do. ALL THE DAMN TIME
Those are the 3 countries within the Americas I can think of that the USA seems most familiar with. Hmmm…
Well now I resent people who think people of the USA are being insensitive when they refer to their country as simply “America”. It feels insensitive to my culture.
I may have gone a little overboard with my speech; though I won’t deny having some resentment towards the USA - and I don’t intend to back down on those feelings anytime soon - , I acknowledge that doesn’t constitute an excuse to insult people.
To me you sound like you hate every person from the USA who has ever referred to their home country as “America”.
That’s what’s coming across.
Do as you please. I couldn’t care less about individual usage; what really bothers me is when (wo)men of power there employ those terms in a malicious way, trying to disguise the authoritarian nature of their actions under a façade of sympathy. If not for that, I’d have absolutely no problem with that terminology.
@Mega Rapidash
You’re both getting a slap on the wrist for that. Stop yelling at eachother like this is a schoolyard, cripes. And no “he started it” is not a valid anything.
Also how does this image even have 124 comments. Just…
Ignoring your foolish attempt at offending me by severely lowering the tone of the conversation like an annoying brat - followed by your hilariously meaningless attempts at hiding your insulting commentaries for whatever reason - , I may concede that the usage of that specific nomenclature by the USA citizens might not derive directly from their nation’s usual foreign policy, but I still stand by my view that there’s a connection between the two - not that all Americans have that in mind while employing those terms, but certainly many power-hungry politicians, businessmen or vainglorious fanaticals throughout history definitely thought of including the rest of the New World in their definition of “America”.
What the heck? Why didn’t you say that eight days ago?!
I already forgot most of this conversation. The only thing all of this achieved is making me want to refer to my country as simply “America” than I did before.
You know, I might get banned for this and you might never read it, but I’ll have the satisfaction of knowing I called a fucking retard and pointing out that your mere existence in this thread reduces the average IQ by about thirty points.
Your instence in trying to find a reason to he offended (twisting history and oozing your ignorance with every single sentence you bane us with) is the single most pathetic and stupid attempt at trying to vilify people for false reason that I have ever seen here, and I regret every second I was under the impression you were a reasonable human being rather the likely self-hating trash you most likely are.
From an actual Latin American, go find a book and stop being so insultingly, willfully, and caustically ignorant you make our griveances look ridiculous by piling them with your load of bullshit.
If, on the other hand, you are just a troll, motherfucking congratulations, I am fucking mad.
Which is to say, no, the Spaniards and the French also made references to the “American” colonies but none of their respetive empires became a cohesive pseudoblock of distinct entities that required a generalized term. Getting angry at the fact they have been references as a block as Americans (and when needed refer to their state denonym when refering to themselves as something other than a collection of things) is as ridiculous as to get angry at the fact the multiple countries and groups of the middle east call themselves the Arab League despite not having all Arab countries.
