I was using Destiny in the poetic sense. I meant that he was railroaded through life due to a combination of malevolent machinations, well intentioned idiocy, and the cold uncaring heart of a weapon.

Geeze, I hope Tirek’s story doesn’t become some generic broken family villian.
Then again, the Sombra issue played pretty close to the tortured childhood tropes, but manage to subvert it beautifully, making him a dark reflection of both Cadence and Twilight and how Destiny railroaded them all to greatness. Hopefully this issue will do the same.
