To quote Twi’s exact words
“This is my book, and I’m gonna read it!”
It’s the darndest thing. No two readers see the same recipe. But it’s always cake, and it’s always tasty.
Ahh, but a tasty recipe for what kind of cake?
Personally, I’m hoping for Black Forest Gateau. :D (Mmm, haven’t had one of those in a long while…)
Strangely, the last page is a completely legible and quite tasty cake recipe.
Why not both?
i like pinkie btw
Or, you know, this could happen.
I wouldn’t underestimate Twilight’s willingness to over-analyze things that she really wants to understand without quite making the mark.
I imagine Twilight estimates probable a priori assumptions that she imagines Pinkie uses in her thought processes based on all the time they’ve known each other, then extrapolates from those. Her being one to engage in empiricism to an often obsessive degree, one could easily see how this would be counterintuitive for Twilight, but if there’s anything her classical education and intense independent studies have prepared her for, it’s engaging in analysis of counterintuitive ideas.
Before that, there are a few hundred pages of derisive laughter, complete with sidebars and footnotes.
