@OptimusPrimevil
The Gaia Gundam in general would be a good starting point. Or the BuCue/LaGowe series if you don’t want to bother with a transformable. And as mentioned, Fuunsaiki, especially since that one’s already a horse.
This one though would work really well if you could alter the head shape to be more pony-like. Then it’d just be a matter of figuring out how to squeeze room for wings and/or a horn to do pegasai, unicorns, or alicorns.
@OptimusPrimevil@Spiritus Arcane
but China said that she had made the background data so the Bearguy-3 was coded to be a stuffed toy given life.
The metal parts are covered BY the plastic. that gives the structure and reinforcement while not limiting movement. If it were on a different playing field, there might be more limitations. After all, we saw the Mega-Shiki exclusively in Space fields, and that removes possible weight and movement counterbalances.
Gunpla is freedom in creativity! essentially, it’d be like making an OC present in canon, just adapt a bit of coding and see where it goes.
@OptimusPrimevil
Cancels them out, but only if the gundam is wrapped in it. The bearguy had cotton on the inside, so presumably it could still move with the particles animating it from the outside. Whereas when it blasted the Knight Gundam, it covered it in cotton, paralyzing it.
@Chapelseed
And none of that answers my question as how particles that are specifically said to animate plastic can move metal parts.
@OptimusPrimevil@Spiritus Arcane
with both aspects of your argument: you forget the GP base.
you’re allowed to fully custom code the Gunpla how you wish. my guess is that there are code rosters that correlate to various gunpla in the franchise, so there’s a basis to work from in each. the code more than likely applies to the inner structure of each Gunpla, and that would help in the interchanging of parts to suit necessity.
@Chapelseed
My problem with metal parts isn’t reinforcement parts like you mentioned, it’s actual MOVING parts like the MegaShiki’s wing binders, which are said to be metal. Wing binders need to be able to move to work properly, but making them out of metal should make it so the particles can’t animate them, making them dead weight in a fight.
@Chapelseed
the thing we were talking about is the show states that plavsky on works on the plastic that gunpla models use (they didn’t specified that it only applies bandai models but it’s implied), that’s why stuff like the super fumina and the laffressia would be an anomaly to the story
the metal parts are considered reinforcement to the plastic. it’s what Sei did for the Build Strike’s primary weapon barrel.
as for scratch built parts… come on, it’s not that hard to melt and cast the plastic into custom molds.
I think the main reason for the Gunpla is that is has to be Gunpla RELATED, at least in looks.
like the Tryon-3 was obviously inspired by Brave-series Super Robots, but it still needed to use the ZZ format as a basis of structure.
the same could be said for the Super Fumina, or are you guys forgetting the Nobel Gundam?
@OptimusPrimevil
Eh, it’s a Gundam anime promoting Gundam models. Having a transformer or Veritech or something show up in GP Battle to lay the smackdown on a mobile suit is pretty much doomed to fanfics.
I will note though, that a lot of the suits and teams in Try were deliberate homages to other mecha shows. The Ez8 team and the Tryon 3 being the most obvious.
@Spiritus Arcane
if they can sell chunks of those (even for a ridiculous amount of money) it’s kinda weird that no one really went wild into making something remotely gundam related (like a very obvious megatron expy with just enough gundam related parts thrown in).
@OptimusPrimevil
I wonder if they just sell blocks of plastic that model builders can use to make custom stuff to battle with? That would explain how obvious scratch build stuff like the Gaw in season 1 or all those giant mobile armors which would be way too expensive to mass produce kits for, even in a world with Gunpla Battle, work in the system.
no one’s doing it.
Doesn’t look like it.
Anyone try modding White Base yet?
“give a mobile pod legs”
“while you’re at it, add arms”sarcasm
“good suggestion!”
obviously. a single jostle on it will pop it out.
Yeah, the left shoulder does look kind of loose.
and that I find clever, though for practical Gunpla fights, the weak spot is a bit obvious.
nothing comes up on the gundamguy blog, though I do enjoy their imaginings for Marvel Universe Gunpla
the SD version of the unicorn is already transformable. has anyone modded that to be more pony like?
well just use the Wing Gundam and the Gundam Unicorn and kitbash for a transforming gunpla

as far as i know, the gp base only holds the data for the model (including systems like the RG and the lcd display for the beargguy).
speaking of beargguy, how does cotton react to plavsky again?

forgot about super fumina…
no way in hell that’s all gundam model plastic
the zaku flipper and the giant mook was a votoms homage.
too bad about the licensing, the g-exes is practically ginrai/powermaster prime but in white.
