If you watch “Magic Duel” backwards, it’s about Trixie apologizing for being a bitch in “Boast Busters.” Then, as a symbol of friendship, Twilight gives her the Alicorn Amulet before she goes to hang out with Zecora and allows her to rule Ponyville with an iron hoof for a few hours until it gradually wears off. Trixie then brings Twilight back for one last magic show to say goodbye before she secretly hocks the amulet at some curio shop.
