I get where you’re coming from - though I didn’t draw Chrysalis yet, so it might be hard to tell what would be different between her and her mother. I tried to give her a bit of a MILF look here, and would probably make Chrysalis look younger (and if it was a personal drawing, I’d go for smaller breasts), but I can agree it’s just hard to tell at times, without enough context.

PSA: R0 was changed!
You know, there’s a point with OCs where it’s near impossible to tell, at a glance, that they’re an OC at all. Basically, the only things with this character that I can see are different from Chrysalis are the horn’s shape, lack of proper leg holes, and the hairstyle. And even then, I find that they can often differ between artists’ interpretations.
 
I get that this OC is supposed to be Chrysalis’ mother, but I’m just going to pretend that this is Chrysalis.
