No, you need to get 6 stars in a day for a reward. Every day you do in a row you get a better reward.
 
But since I now have all stars… I can’t get rewarded any longer. At least not by that system. There is also a random reward box you just have to open every day. That one doesn’t improve with time however.

So do you have to three-star every level to get the reward?

You need to earn stars for a daily reward, silly me I can no longer gain any more stars or rewards…
 
But I’m just a bit of a completionist really.
 
Also, more stars mean more points. Since your ranking on the leaderboard is based upon the highest score you have on all levels combined you stand more to gain by getting 3 stars on a level you did badly at, than increasing your score by 5k on a level you already did good on.
 
I finally did get 3 stars in everything now, only took 2 rarity power-ups and a few hours of bashing my head against 102.

Do the stars actually do anything?

Okay, I’ve 3 starred everything except level 102. Please help, Pinkie here is pretty much how I feel at this point. Global leaderboards put me at 17, yet I can’t get more than 1 star on this damn level.

Is she the reason the motherhubbarding lightning jar drops are ALWAYS POINTING IN THE WRONG BONNIEDAMN DIRECTION?

At least they haven’t forgotten. On the downside, they haven’t forgotten.
