Actually, Jason is already dead so shooting at a walking corpse is not going to end well for the shooter.
Guns get used on Jason all the time (Parts VI, IX, FvJ, plethora of comics, etc), they barely have that much effect on him, dude has skin that is made out of concrete or something.

I always got the impression that as the movies progressed, he just became an elemental of evil, so to speak. Basically unstoppable. Kind of a real boogeyman, like Freddy Kruger. That’s just my head canon, though.
Yeah no shit plus today IS Friday The 13th anyway guess that’s explains why hes walking around a night again as usual ready to kill more stupid teens who get killed so easily like all those “Friday the 13th movies”.
But there was something that always made no sense to me. In all those Jason movies we never see a teen and/or adult ever try to use a gun on him so it would be easier to kill but BOOM yet there they are, all dead so easily as usual.
The only time they used guns was in “Jason X” and yet somehow they still got killed and couldn’t even kill Jason with their futuristic guns of theirs i mean SERIOUSLY how on earth are you suppose to kill Jason anyway?! It makes no sense.
Could be grazing in the field trying to rest and think…and this asshole comes tripping up and trying to kill some teenagers again
