I’m already sick and tired of the same formula for Starlight episodes where basically she’s stuck in a situation where she feels miserable or confident, she reaches her limit and rightfully calls someone out or things get out of hand, she starts to feel bad and regret for what she said, she gets a moment of clarity or someone talks to them, she realizes what she did wrong and she sets out to apologize to those who she hurt, again and again of the same thing. In some episodes it works (Every Little Thing She Does, A Royal Problem, Road To Friendship, The Parent Map to some extent) and in others she did not need to apologize at all (All Bottled Up, A Matter Of Principals most egregiously, Student Counsel and now a Horse Shoe-In) but despite all that regardless of whether she needed to get on their good graces back, it’s the exact same over and over and I’m sick of it. I get that she’s flawed and impulsive and tends to go overboard a lot of the times but come on, do we have to see the exact same shit where she has to get knocked down a peg every single time? As a fan of her, it’s just insulting and I feel like she deserved better episodes and ideas. Her detractors might not feel the same way and say that she deserves the shit that she gets because of her redemption but I just don’t care, it would’ve benefited to see an episode where she went on an adventure or just did something mundane without repercussions and all that.
 
I still love her and I’m not gonna talk down the writers for this, but I’m just disappointed and miffed that things turned out the way they did.

Not much of a pony vent. Just something that’s been on my mind for a bit. Since we’re nearing the end of G4 I’ve been looking for other Television series to watch. To be honest, FIM has been the only series that I’ve followed on a regular basis for 8 years now, and i haven’t regularly followed or kept up with any other series. Maybe it’s because i have such a deep personal connection with this show, i thought nothing else would interest me.
 
Luckily the other day I’ve been listing other shows to watch once the series is over, and some i’m currently watching right now as MLP comes to an end. And don’t worry, i’ll still be in the fandom. I won’t be leaving anytime soon. I can’t leave because this fandom has meant so much to me. I’ll just be expanding my horizons and occupy myself until G5 comes around.

The only western show I have followed recently was The Boys series. For cartoons, I barely follow them, since I never learn their schedules in the tv, and I rarely watch cartoons on the internet.

Yeah, that’s what I’m going to do as well where I’m gonna find other shows to watch after the series ends. I’ve already been watching two shows that I’m hooked on while FIM was airing but after that ends, I’m gonna set my sights on other things.

There’s plenty of games, shows, comics, etc., I’ll probably take to fill the void, just a matter of me getting off my butt and actually trying them :p

I still have to see Rainbow Roadtrip and Best Gift Ever, I’ve been wanting to watch those for a long time and I like what I hear about those

Good to know that there are BP’s who are keeping the stereotype that they complain about the show and berate the writers for every continuity error alive. Glad to know that’s helping your image, not that I expect you to care.

I would actually like to hear an explanation from the staff as to how Ahuizotl being a violent, but well-intentioned artifact guardian fits in with his previous persona as a chaotic evil villain bent on world conquest. I’m not upset, I just think it would be fun to hear what they have to say about it.
