Right, I’m referring to fanart of new characters and such. They’re tagged, but not spoilered by default, so I had to set those tags to Spoiler myself after seeing the art.

Not to draw the ire of moderators here, but I honestly feel it should be.
I mean… this isn’t a situation like any of the previous “leaks” we’ve had from the show. We’re not talking about some episode slipping out early because someone goofed on the date to release it online, or an episode airing early in another country, or anything like that. The person who did this accessed Hasbro servers illegally and stole e-mails, proprietary information, schedules, and entire (unfinished) episodes. And however much people want to sugarcoat their inability to resist seeing what got released, there isn’t really any legitimate justification for having knowledge about this stuff yet. The only people who do are the ones who deliberately looked for and viewed stolen material, and honestly, I think that should preclude anything based on it from being uploaded here.

So? That doesn’t make what they’re doing right, and it doesn’t mean this site has to accept it either. There are other types of fanwork forbidden here, after all, so they could prohibit it if they really wanted to.
But this has already been addressed in a different thread. The decision has been made to allow it with appropriate spoiler tags, so I’m not going to press the issue.

Getting rid of fanworks isn’t a good idea, regardless of how it was leaked.
Again, I disagree, but it’s a moot point anyway now.
