While that can be true, crafting memories and their specialness is a matter of hindsight. Especially when it can also be coupled with the regret of missed opportunity. But hay, different strokes for different mare-folk.

Sometimes, the memories of amazing things, can be far better than experiencing that very same thing, repeatedly. The memories change it, shape it, warp it into something better than it was and ever could be, because we CHOOSE to remember it. If you’re involuntarily hearing something, it loses that meaning, until it’s “just another sound”.
