Communism is even more evill than Nazi ideology, communism simply sounds better. In practice communism is deeply oppresive system in which people are worthles cogs in the machinery that can be easilly replaced.

When a communist says to You that communism is about equality and freedom remember that ALL communist countries that have existed failed miserabbly and could only produce extreme poverty and huge gap between people on top and normal citizens.

Kids, when someone wants to give You communism say: NAH MA’AM/SIR.

Luckily for the rest of the world, People with sense have long since discovered how flawed and stupid Communism is and have since discarded it. Even the Chinese, whom are probably the largest growing capitalist country of all.

The way I see it, there’s no inherent problem with the communist system - in fact, having everyone contribute what they can in exchange for a fair share of society’s benefits seems like utopia to me. The trouble is getting it functioning in the first place. You first need to get rid of existing imbalances, which means somehow making the rich and powerful give up their wealth and power to everyone else. Once that’s out of the way, you need to ensure no one gets greedy and takes more than their fair share, but any kind of enforcement means giving someone extra power, which creates an imbalance in itself. Until society progresses to the point where we can regulate ourselves, the easiest option for doing this, ironically, to set up a dictatorship.

Laconic version: Communism is actually a pretty neat idea; it’s just hard to get it to work properly.

I am not defending shitty leadership and I don’t care what color/flag it was under.

Actually in China the collectivization did the great famine because people were too afraid to report back to Beijing not to mention commie science and real science are not good friends.

It’s like when German decided that relativity is jewish science because I dunno, it wasn’t producing overcomplicated tanks that break down every 100 miles.

Sure thing that after the great leap forward China slowly began to rise in standard of living which was almost destroyed by the cultural revolution on some levels. But I would say it’s mostly the fact that the industrialization reached the agriculture on a proper level. I don’t hate commies or communism, on some levels I am interested in those systems but I can see their flaws in general.

I won’t go ahead and deny that communism helped China to overcome it’s barbaric traditions and cruel serf system because that would be stupid.

Holy shit, not this again.

Yes, there were famines in Ukraine and China. Yes, the responses to food shortages were pretty insufficient. The problem is the ridiculous implication that Chiang Kai-Shek and the Tsars were humanitarian miracle workers who would have saved tens of millions of lives. Yeah, Eastern Europe and China went through horrendous famines for thousands of years, and it’s pretty interesting how there haven’t been any mass deaths in those regions since collectivization.

Also, the people of Ireland and Bengal who starved at the behest of the British free-market ideology would like to have a word with you.

I’m a technocrat myself.

Rule by the technical elite. Engineers, Scientists, Industrialists, Doctors, etc. Political positions would be unpaid, and they’d have to maintain their positions in the private sector to qualify for public office.

Keep in mind that this includes democracy. We need to remind ourselves that next time my country seeks to “export democracy”.

Every nation and system should be judged under its on conditions.

Its principles were abused by crazies, proving once and for all that every human construct is prone to corruption, and that “one size fits all” systems are doomed to fail.
