OMG I’m so excited! I normally don’t care that much for Anime, and I kind of prefer the look of the costumes in the 3d version, but the PV trailer had this fascinating gloomy atmosphere that looks so much interesting then the well lit daylight atmosphere in the actual show.
actually, it’s more obviously Spider-Man and Black Cat.

to me there like sailor moon and tuxedo mask knock offs. actually the whole show is like sailor moon minus the Minnie skirt’s and other characters
Well we should not forget for what kind of cartoon series we are all here on this site today , so i wouldn’t be surprised if miraculous ladybug would become popular , plus the protagonists are very good examples for kids in my opinion .
and like mentioned below , its getting an OVA from toei animation wich will target a more mature audience .
If the first episode didn’t push any of the right buttons then it’s doing something wrong (not that I’m the target audience, but still). I’m willing to give it a fair chance once I find the time, though.
TBH I was biased towards the show ever since I saw the trailer, seeing how generic the superheroine looked to me (another acrobatic magical martial artist). I used to try invent quirky, fleshed-out heroes/villains myself, therefore I wasn’t impressed, you see. And I’m usually optimistic/forgiving towards kid shows. Weird.

Not judging based on a single episode is an excellent policy. I mean, not everything reaches its stride or attracts your attention at once, right?
My very first MLP FiM episode, for example, was Dragonshy. It wasn’t the best introduction. I hated Fluttershy, for example (and for the record, she’s still the member of the Mane Six I relate to the least).
A anime version has recently been announced due to success of the show toei is taking care of it .

Which version plays inside your head? The “love” version and regular version take turns in mine.

It’s pretty enjoyable. And it’s pretty. If I remember right, the animation budget is astronomical compared to most cartoons.
