You must be really fun to hang out with considering all you ever do is point of floors in a fan fic based on a cartoon about magical ponies.

“Okay that still begs the question of if Rainbow Dash is a filly whyy aren’t the any of the others besides Celestia? “Magic Logic” makes it so you have to follow more rules, not less.”
As far as I can remember Twilight was Trying to Teleport Rainbow Dash over a great distance but it went wrong. So she was send to earth and reverted in age by 15 years, Then 15 years passes and she grows up. Meanwhile in Equestria 15 days has passed so when the rest of the mane 6 just teleport directly expecting RD to be 30, It isnt explained in great detail as to why she was younger but its basically because the timelines don’t match 1 year on Earth is 1 day in Equestria.

“Okay if you follow the timeline theory that would of caused a time-space paradox. You cannot look at yourself in at any age in you timeline while in another timeline. Most episodes of FiM at least show RD somewhere.”
The show is not a window to their universe it is still just a cartoon. So she is looking at an animated pony that is identical to her in every way but is still the creation of the show staff and voiced by Ashley Ball.

Apologies. I haven’t read it in quite some time and I don’t plan on revisiting it

Now I will take the information that you’ve given me.
“The timeline between Eqeustria and Earth is different and as a result dash ended up being a filly when she got transported to Earth ( because magic logic)”
Okay that still begs the question of if Rainbow Dash is a filly whyy aren’t the any of the others besides Celestia? “Magic Logic” makes it so you have to follow more rules, not less.

“She knew them because Anon gets cable in so Dash has something to watch and she stumbled upon and episode of Mlp.”
Okay if you follow the timeline theory that would of caused a time-space paradox. You cannot look at yourself in at any age in you timeline while in another timeline. Most episodes of FiM at least show RD somewhere.

Now with the Self-Inserts. I don’t like them by any chance but I can typically get over it, but along comes something like MLD and everyone is going on about how good it is when from a critical point of view it’s only “good” because the story wants you to put yourself in the main character’s position. That’s fine and dandy but you still have to give the main character some character. And I also never acted like it was the end of the world, I just think it’s a shame when the author is too lazy to write another character and in thus wants the audience to put themselves as that character…

Have you actually read it? The timeline between Eqeustria and Earth is different and as a result dash ended up being a filly when she got transported to Earth ( because magic logic) so she had already grown up in Equestria with her friends so thats how they knew her. She knew them because Anon gets cable in so Dash has something to watch and she stumbled upon and episode of Mlp. Go read it come back and then you can Judge it. You act as if self inserting is going to destroy the planet. People like to read self inserts because it puts them in the position of the protagonist. I dont understand why you hate something you clearly have never read.

That story was rather stupid. It didn’t have any logic. Even with Magic in mind.
Guy is a brony
[Forgivable]
Stereotypical brony in the story in which MLP:FiM saved his life/kept him from suicide
[Since this is the case for many bronies it’s passable]
Randomly finds a filly Rainbow Dash in a box
[/sarcasm Oh lucky you!]
So many places in which they want you to insert yourself onto the character to make emotion because the author was to lazy to actually make you feel something for the main character
[That is a big no-no in story writing. You don’t tell your audience how to feel. Nor do you make them insert themselves onto their character to feel emotion. That should come from the story itself, not self-insertion]
RD grows up with Anon
Celestia and Co. come to take Rainbow Dash back.
[Okay so if Rainbow Dash grew up with the self inser- I mean Anon how do they know who Rainbow Dash is and better yet how does Rainbow Dash know them?]
(I gave up at this point in the story)

Okay well…It’s overrated, and not that good. Self-Inserts or characters you have to reflect yourself upon (unless it’s told in first person) is something you should never ever EVER do. It shows that you’re to lazy to write another character into the story for emotion and instead want the audience to put themselves in that position throughout the story.

Yea I did self insert. Thats half the reason the main character from the story has no name. I dont think anybody is denying that they self inserted with this fic. This picture is stupid.

Because your personal desire colors your feelings about the story. For those who aren’t self-inserting into MLD, it’s merely a run of the mill sadfic.

So you think this meme is overused?

Why don’t you show us all the other ponified memes you’ve seen?

This meme is stupid, overused, unfunny, and uses strawmen to try and make a point.

Some people cries when they read it, others don’t feel a thing. Unless something is utterly crap, good or bad is up to each person.

Can we move on from this? From what I see, a lot people keep saying MLD is crap/overrated as if they are proud of not being mainstream. It’s like not liking somthing mainstream has become mainstream.
