Probably. But I am glad for that. They are doing a terrible job at it. Maud’s coltfriend, while having potential, wasn’t potrayed in a likeable way. And it is possible to make a character likeable but make it difficult for others around them. Maud was like that to the other Mane 6, so he should have been like that to him. Maybe even add some conflict to his character to give him more depth.
 
Or Big Mac and Sugar Belle. The show always hinted at Cheerilee but then suddenly made him fall for another character without even dropping any kind of hints prior. Not to mention the episode was cringe-inducing.
 
Just to name a few examples. It would just be nice if they would actually get better at this. But that is just my opinion. ^^

Wonder what Mane6 and Discord really do on Heart & Hoof Day. I’m guessing that DHX never show it to not imply them hooking up with anyone.
