And I won’t deny that mine is one too. I spoke for everyone and that’s my fault. For that, I’m sorry.
 
I just like her much more as a hero. As a villain, I felt she was really… basic. You know: “I’m gonna raise an army and conquer the world!” I’ve seen that.
 
As a hero, however, I felt that her character evolved, like she actually became something better. Sure, she was forgiven way too easily in the first film, but by the second film it was clear that her past actions weighed on her mind. Guilt. And because of her guilt she became a better person. She became a hero.
 
It’s a trope that I love. When a villain actually hates themselves enough to turn into a hero. When they realize just what they’ve done and they can’t go back to who they were. I think I like it because it’s heartbreaking. Her song, “My Past is Not Today”, sealed it for me.
