If you can make them believe that you did use the figure as intended and that the damage isn’t your fault, they might send you a free replacement, since it was their mistake then for not letting it get manufactured better.

OK, probably a pointless thing to ask here, but does anyone know how to fix one of these? I was just pressing the flight trigger on the tail to fly it as usual, and all of a sudden a piece of the trigger broke. The broken piece fell out a little later, and while I tried to disassemble it to try and fix it, it was ultimately a failed attempt due to the collar armor holding the thing together. Is there a way to disassemble it without breaking it further? I’m already attempting to contact Hasbro about this, but I want to know if I can save the action feature without having to buy a replacement.

Classic hippogriff: 1/2 griffon, 1/2 horse (1 parent is a griffon)
Cirrus and other OCs: 1/4 griffon, 3/4 pony (1 grandparent is a griffon)
This: 1/8 griffon, 7/8 pony (1 great-grandparent is a griffon)

The Windegos where also ghost/spirits instead of something physical and gaunt, looking like a frozen emaciated corpse. Ahuitzotl was supposed to look more like a dog with hands and a hand for a tail instead of the abomination that he is. The Sirens where off too like you said, as well as various other inaccuracies, mostly to make really scary looking things more kid-friendly.

My thought is they chose to go with pony with talons is either 1) the fandom inspired the design as there are many more pony headed hippogriffs than bird headed ones and/or 2) they wanted to make sure people, namely kids, didn’t mistake them for griffons, since traditional Hippogriffs are literally just griffons with a horse butt instead of a lion butt, and the visuals might confuse kids if they didn’t separate it.

Last time I checked, an actual hippogriff was bird front - horse rear. 50-50. Not a pony with claws on front hooves and a muzzle that vaguely resembles a beak. Where’d they get that design from?

Silver Quill? Isn’t that the guy with the edgy Hippogriff OC?

“Oh look at my OC. He’s is so special! He has a bird head and a Cutie Mark!”

Couldn’t just make a normal Hippogriffin like everyone else, could he? Well at least he’s not black-red…

(Just kidding, of course.)

I really like this design.

This comment coming from someone whose avatar is Geralt is making me think of this Hippogriff as a Witcher contract boss.

I want to throw down with it on the field of the hunt.
