Don’t worry. You’re so-called “slow few-panel style” actually sets a good pace for the whole comic. Things don’t feel rushed or ignored.
Ah, what I was trying to get at is that friendship is usually a good thing, just not uncorupable. I see it more as a inherently good thing that can be abused
I’m having a lot of fun making it! Little nervous my slow few-panel style won’t work well for other scenes though

I’ve heard of tempest’s story, but haven’t read it. I tend to avoid the IDW comics… your comic though is pretty good, so far!
I’d have to disagree, but I’ve been through a lot with some of my own friends. Even have friends who wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for the love and help of their friends.
But yeah, the thing is that friendship and virtue aren’t synonymous. I mean, have you read Stormy road to Canterlot? The chance to interact with somepony who liked her again is what caused Tempest to fall into the Storm King’s army i the first place.
Actually been having fun with the first villians of this comic in that regard. Absolutely horrible people? Yeeeep. But they are the best of friends and would both consider their world incomplete without the other. Now if only they didn’t see capturing innocent people to sell as slaves as a wonderful bonding experience… One of the themes I want to go into is different things Twilight has to confront about friendship and love.
oh, I just was remarking that friendship isn’t always a virtuous thing. I could think of any number of plots where to save the day twilight would have to destroy friendship.
she’s gonna feel unworthy of friendship, because that’s the sort of pony she is, but looking at it from the outside, friendship doesn’t have inherent virtue to it. it’s what your friendship can be that matters, not whether it’s friendship or not.

Actually, could we discuss the conversation you you were having earlier about Twily’s responsibility as Princess of Friendship? Tempest will be bringing her own views of a sort later, but that’s… uh… 2 pages away I think. (the end of chapter one is almost here and I never want to see Twilight’s balcony ever again! XD)
if someone is getting art deleted, that’s pretty involved I’d say. anyway, that’s just the official method. the admins’ll bend over backwards for just about anything. we all like making artists happy, after all! like, if all you did was draw a picture telling derpibooru to delete stuff you drew, there’s no guarantee the admins will see that picture, but if they do, they’d probably obey it immediately.
some artists don’t let people share their work, but like to use derpibooru for free advertising. they do have to get an account, since the admins can’t censor everyone’s uploads except them, without knowing who “they” are.
also sorry for snarking at you earlier. I thought you knew we were giving you credit for the pics.
I think another option would be having someone write it on their personal account elsewhere.
Like, I get why, I just think it’s a bit of a problem that someone has to make an account to not be involved
eh, I disagree, it’s - it’s an identification verification system. it stops someone from coming in and pretending to be you. ensures that the person who’s deciding the fate of your work on this site is, in fact, you. once you’ve got an account directly confirmed to be you the artist, any potential current or future fakes lose all power.
Yeah but they also requre the artist to get an account first, it sounded like when th emod was talking to me. Which is a pretty big flaw in the system IMO
this site’s actually very good about that last bit. artists can request to be put on a blacklist, so that if their art is put up, the staff will take it back down again, and they’re usually very quick about it. anyone who doesn’t want to have their stuff on the site, won’t.

Haha, no you’re totally right. I’d still have to contact them to tell them to stop, but the thing is I thought this was just like Deviantart or the like. And with any website like that having the ability to take down your uploads is very important. I also don’t like that someone has to get an account to have their stuff taken down, though I see where this came from. (Still think it’s a VERY big flaw, though, and has no respect for an artist who might just not want to be involved with this site at all.)
Well, I guess it could be considered that. Personally, I think uploaders should have the decency to ask the creator of a piece of art for permission before they upload it here. So I absolutely understand your anger. I was just pointing out that giving the uploader an ultimatum was probably pointless, because they cannot even actually delete it themselves (I think).
That said, I like your comic so far. You’ve done some good character work here, and the art is also nice.

We’re sorting things out now (I didn’t know what this site was when I commented. Thought it was art theft)
I am actually not sure if the uploader himself can delete already uploaded images. As far as I know, only the site admins can.

Being “best at friendship” is a pretty silly idea anyway. It’s not a competition!
just saying that maybe her crown isn’t something to strive for. friendship is a tool that can be used for great good, or great evil. perhaps twilight should focus on being a good person, and not worry about whether she’s the best at friendship or not.
It is only effective if used responsibly. I’m not rebuking you for either stance (i.e. Twilight was in the wrong OR wasn’t), so I hope there’s no misunderstanding here.
