We’re at the half-way point of Equestria Daily’s Artist Training Grounds now! Today’s prompt is Draw a pony as another species / Draw a pony making a change. It’s already canon at this point that Twilight can change the species of herself and others nearby, so in her pursuit to gain a better understanding of dragons (and Spike’s curiosity as to what it’s like to be 100% pony), the two of them have decided to trade their species for a little while. Looks like most of their biological traits have remained unchanged however, such as maturity, sex, and physical extremities. Seems Spike has gotten tired of the situation already, but Twilight’s not ready to change back quite yet…
 
If you don’t count Spike or the hydra from before, this is my first attempt at drawing a dragon. Fortunately, dragons are pretty diverse physically in the show, so hopefully my Twilight dragon looks good to you all. And colt Spike is just adorable. Not too much else to say really; this one was pretty basic, but fun and creative.
