Was his actions impulsive and overall fatal? Yep. But I feel sorry for him over anger. After the loss of Gamora I can understand his loss of control. Losing his mother, having an asshole father who killled her along with a dead father figure kind of puts Quill in a limited loved ones range. Gamora was the one person who was there for the guy in such an intimate way. They foreshadowed his emotional temper when he did the same thing when he found out Ego killed his mother. It’s a tragic situation.
Sure It’s fun to poke fun at it but I mean c’mon.. People take it a bit too seriously. To have good drama occur characters need to be allowed to get pushed and be involved in challenging scenarios. If it went smoothly and they took the Gauntlet off that would be lame.
I don´t blame him for being furious. I just wished he waited a few moments longer with his attack on Thanos.
On the other hand there wouldn´t be a second part then.||

And before you bring out Thor losing all his loved ones. Star-Lord has always been a man child where as Thor has grown to fit the mind of a king. One is restraint and one is impulsive. All along the way Peter and Thor’s actions felt in character to me.
Thor should have gone for the head

His actions had nothing to do with Thanos winning, if they would have Dr. Strange would have stopped him, dropped him through a hole in space or something, since Dr Strange didn’t stop him that means what Peter did was what was supposed to happen and it’s all part of the 1 in 14 million End Game. Why don’t people get this?
I´m sure that Dr. Strange has a master plan and I cannot wait to see it next year.

I still think it’s going to come down to Tony. I mean Strange pretty much said he’d trade Peter or Tony’s life in a second if it kept Thanos from getting the time gem, and then after viewing some 14 million alternate futures only finding one where they won, he agrees to hand it over on the sole provision that Tony Stark doesn’t die.
I mean seriously… Tony, one of the brightest mechanical minds in the Marvel universe and a guy who maybe more than anyone else gets the mindset Thanos has, is specifically spared? I sense a plot afoot.
@Darth Sonic Literally no-one knew that in-universe. This is the first time most of these characters have met Thanos, and Thanos has yet to be defeated.
@Not-Immortal Like, y’all know the only way to defeat Thanos in any real way is to feed his insecurities an have him self-sabotage, right? Has anyone here actually READ the comics?
Half the universe temporarily dying before Thanos has a breakdown and reverses everthing>Earth PERMANENTLY dying in retaliation for destroying the Gauntlet.
So in short, Quill and Strange likely saved Earth.
@Background Pony #6FBD
That reminds me, that planet that Thanos was on after he teleported away, was that his homeworld? Did he use the gauntlet to bring back his people in addition to genociding the universe? @Background Pony #7005
Strange is equally guilty, now that I think about it
@chucklefarts Even if we know that…..it doesnt take away the fact that it left a huge mark of sadness…and anger at Thanos. Not to mention right now having the emotional scars….
Sunset-
Star-Lordresponding to hate (without context)Spoiler the image because it’s “questionable”.

I still like him. I hope he (and Gamora) return.

Strange likely saw that this shared mindset is what will allow Tony to facilitate Thanos’ self-sabotage.

I was talking about fan reactions. Sorry I was not clear on that.
Though Strange likely knew.

I know that’s happen in twilight dream, but does she actually can do that in the real world.
I think that is part of his plan and the only way to defeat Thanos.
