In order of questions.
  1. Pinkie knew there was a door, but she also knew no one had used it. She may therefore have assumed it was locked. The others didn’t expect to find themselves in a place with a door because it’s never happened before. This one looked like it was built to blend into the walls, though how you’re supposed to pull it open from the inside if there’s no doorknob is beyond me.
  2. The room looks like it was designed for photography. The camera takes pictures.
  3. I’m starting to think the magic is trying to develop a sense of humour.
 
  1. they could try to use a card or something to pry the door’s lock open.
     
    2)a photography room that has(of course)a door with no handle?
     
    3)magic actually being stupid!

It’s very odd that phone would teleport anything to that room after taking a picture of it. But perhaps Equestria Land is built on some deposit of Equestria Magic or something so it acts like a receiving beacon for teleportation.

Actually I think I seen something like this somewhere before. The white walls are used to project images (from a device that is placed in the center of the room).
