Description: The rise of world-destroying weapons and the awareness of the potential for complete global annihilation promoted an interest in post-apocalyptic preparations. “Prepping” became not just the field of nervous individuals digging root cellars to hide in should the worse happen, but an interest of national importance. But with so much devoted to the war effort more and more once public services of Equestria were given up to private interests, or were ceded in part to private interests in a public-private relationship. The largest benefactor of which was the newly created company Stable-Tec, a nascent developer of shelters should the worse happen.

The explosive rise of Stable-Tec meant that not only did it seize or develop its own private infrastructure nationwide to advance its goals, but that of a whole private security department. Recruited from veterans (of often questionable metal integrity) or former police ponies the Stable-Tec Security Office was organized to protect the private interests of the company. By proxy this service was extended to its various public and private partners including the ministries who greatly benefited the company in giving away its research to them at a deep discount. While the office security of internal InfoSec and Data Management is unseen, there is nothing more prominent than the riot armor clad security pony.

However, fire-arms are limited in the company, and those implements are often stored in random stables for their own future purpose. Whatever those may be. Many of the private security officers have been promised a free ticket into their local stable. How willing Stable-Tec is to grant that asylum: that’s yet to be seen.
