Where did I compare them? The Dazzlings are indeed different physically, but the whole Dazzle-Ed thing is based on two points: They are both a trio, with a dumber and naive, but friendly one on the bottom rung, that argue with each other to an extent (although the Dazzlings are of course more unpleasant with each other than the Eds), and that they share a line in the movie.

They don’t have that size. all about them crossover is weird, the Eds are dwarfs and they look much older. Don’t compare them.

I really wasn’t expecting to see the dazzlings ever return again after they lost their powers

It’s funny, all this Dazzle-Ed stuff gets me thinking of a crossover idea I had. The Princesses use a spell to pull the Dazzlings from the human world back into Equestria, but still as their powerless human selves. A side-effect though, is that the Eds get pulled in from their world. Cue hilarious hijinks from the Eds interacting with both the Mane Six and the Dazzlings (who I imagine would somehow be forced to spend time with them).
