Description: The Parinians were once emperors of the Zebra lands, but their former power waned. The once great houses of the Parinian clans once ruled even the cities from their great fortresses on the savannas and grasslands of the heart of the Zebra lands. The great families became warrior societies of their own, and their military model was that of their contemporaries in Equestria, where the mobilized guard was from the upper class. But since the decline of the Parinian zebras in a shift towards the rich coasts and deltas of the Arami the importance and presence of their warrior societies declined until the great houses became mere petty despots in a shrinking world.
 
Their influence waned, their military culture persists. When summoned to the fore their military sons answered the call in newly organized units. While not offensive units, due to their large spears they can assemble into a defensive wall to break oncoming charges or to even absorb - and reflect - magic-based attacks owed to their highly polished armor.
