Don’t forget to wash your hooves, stay away from others for at least 1.5 meters (5ft), cough in your fur or tissue, and wear a mask over your snoot to public places, like he does now.

what im talking about includes the incubation period, it still infects through droplets the infected cough or sneeze out, as i said it would go through a surgical mask but not an n95 mask (the best i can answer to your question becuase i could not understand it properly)
@furrypony
Surgical masks are only meant to be used for about an hour, in the doctors cases its to stop liquids from entering their mouth or the patients mouth, this is why it is used in surgeries and why you cant have a sick doctor work on you. n95 masks are specialised in the way it has very small spaces between the fibres, thus it is the best mask we got to prevent something so small from entering us like COVID-19 or dust particles, COVID-19 can go straight through a surgical mask just like dust particles can (dust particles are bigger then the virus).

If a mask is useless, why would it be necessary to reserve it for people who need it the most?

Face masks: yes or no?
• You will see news articles saying that you don’t need face masks as they are largely ineffective, or
that you shouldn’t buy face masks because caregivers need them.
• These statements cannot both be true! If face masks are ineffective why do caregivers need them?
– In addition to spreading through contact and then ingestion, SARS-CoV-2 also spreads through
inhalation of airborne droplets.
– Disposable masks are filters, causing bacteria and droplets to be caught in a meshwork of
polypropylene. They are not rated for completely filtering out aerosolized viruses, i.e. individual viruses
in a small water shell. There is some evidence SARS-CoV-2 can be aerosolized, but its mode of spread
is mostly through larger droplets.
– Masks absorb 95% of exhaled droplets from infected people (Pubmed 23505369).
– Masks also absorb droplets during inhalation; this is harder to quantify but certainly substantial, as
masks cut transmission within households by 60-80%, a situation with lots of viral droplets around
(Pubmed 19193267) .
– Both surgical masks and N95 respirators are effective (Pubmed 19797474), although it’s assumed the
N95 are better.
you know masks stop you from spreading the disease when you cough, sneeze or talk, not stop the disease from going into you? the virus can go in mouth, nose and eyes so mask be useless anyway…
and a normal surgical mask like you got there is useless, you’d need the latest n95 mask if you are sick to stop yourself from spreading it to others for the reason the virus is small enough to go through a surgical mask, i know you may have used that mask as just something to use in the pic but i just wanted people to know to stop getting things that wont help in case they dont look properly into it.
Basically, get the mask if you are working around others that may get you in contact with the virus or wear it if you got the virus yourself, it helps all of us to leave the masks to people who need it more so we can combat it faster, best course of action is to stay home away from others and dont touch your mouth, nose or eyes. If someone coughs on you, then clean yourself thoroughly and get on with the day as best you can intill the virus goes away or subsides.

Bogus. How we could save those masks when SARS-CoV-2 has an ability to infect people while they’re in incubation period?
That’s all pretty accurate.
that tiny spelling error though, lol

No, my intent for this image was to keep spreading awareness for this pandemic, nothing else. btw whats ccp again?
i wanted a more relevant profile pic on twitter, so i asked sugar morning to draw a face mask over his snoot and voila.
