I gotta say, this was a lot of fun to work on. Definitely gave me some good practice with anatomy and posing as well as figuring out how I want to shape my art style. Also, I really like drawing a variety of body types and one of my favorites is muscular females, which I think works pretty well for Applejack. Fair warning, expect me to try it out with other characters cough Dash and Spitfire cough. But that’s for another day…
Anyways, I hope ya like it! Still got a lot to learn obviously, including with my actual coloring abilities. Comments and critiques are very much welcome and appreciated. I’m eager to hear what you guys have to say about it!
Something had me thinking you already knew about him haha ;) I’m a big fan of his too
Appreciate it! Can’t say when I’ll have more of it out, but hopefully I’ll find an efficient schedule to make stuff while balancing other priorities.

Oh yeah, I’ve seen quite a bit of his work, including stuff you have collaborated on! I’ve actually used a couple of his pics as references along with other artists before, which probably explains our stylistic similarities, heh. His Apple Brawn series is great; I admire how he draws muscular ladies in a wider variety of scenes than just the typical “lifting weights, flexing for the camera, etc.” Not that those aren’t always wonderful, of course, it’s just cool to see the topic being drawn in different, creative ways from time to time. Adds that little extra something. And his style is just lovely, of course. Could probably go into specifics about what I admire about that part of his work, haha! Appreciate the suggestion, though. He’s definitely gonna continue to be a source of inspiration for me.
if you’re getting into drawing muscular characters you should check out Matchstickman and this ask blog he runs Your styles share some similarities. You can find his pics here on derpibooru too (along with some edits ive done for him and some animations we worked together on.)
Thanks a lot! I’d love to do it as well.
@TheTaZe
Oh do not fret, my friend; there’ll be plenty of Dash in the future. ;)
@calmwind32
Thanks again!
Same here! Should be fun making a bulked up Dash and Spits.
