Even if someone could script, cast and produce a movie on the same level as Airplane! today, they could never get away with releasing it in theaters, because too many people would say it’s “offensive”. :(

I think it’s because they interpolated the frames, and the original art was like, 24fps or so, while this is running at like, 60fps. So it looks as if everything is slightly blurred
There is something highly unsettling for me, subjectively speaking, about seeing this animation at such a high framerate, something about the movements of the hands in particular, I think, that put this deep, DEEP in the Uncanny Valley for me. This is not a knock on anontheanon. It’s a technically outstanding animation. There’s just something about the combination of these shapes and faces with high-framerate animation that is causing one of the circuits in my brain to short out.
A Kung Pow sequel would be amazing!
Pretty much.
We can’t even get a Kung Pow sequel.

Airplane is how to do spoof/satire correctly, so rare to see now.

The first time I saw super high framerate video it made me feel that way too, gladly that went away.
Smooth jazz!
