so my favourite ship for spike and vice versa with diamond is, well… them together lol. ive gone into it before
they came about as a couple well into their adults, and after spike had had his daughter lily. although he’d always viewed diamond tiara as a brat when they were kids, as an adult, he can see her trying really hard to be good. she grew up being taught the same harmful/abusive patterns her mother followed, and so it takes a lot of unlearning to be sympathetic and kind. she also adores lily, even if lily is skeptical of her to begin with - and spike really appreciates that.
aside from the occasional blushy moment, their relationship is pretty mature. diamond tiara knows how important lily is to spike, and so tries to be kind and motherly towards her - while spike, knowing that lily might not want a new mother figure, never pushes diamond onto her. above all, they have lily’s wellbeing in mind.

in terms of sexuality, spike puts it simply that he “likes what he likes” - and that the closest match to him is bi.
diamond tiara took a lot of coming into her labels. she was victim to a lot of heteronormativity from her mother, and for the longest time just assumed she had to be straight and nothing else. it wasn’t until she started spending more time with spike, did she actually get to explore herself and her labels. with a lot of thought and care, she settled on what she felt most comfortable in - asexual, biromantic - and challenge her way of thinking.

i wasnt sure at first but. i thought itd be really cute if diamond tiara and cozy glow formed some weird love/hate friendship
i need to do a full hc on cozy glow at some stage, but the idea that theyd send a literal child to hell is like. atrocious. i think itd more likely be she would spend time in some form of juvenile detention centre, or whatever the equestrian equivalent would be -and once finished there, she’s allowed out under strict supervision.
cozy glows an asshole, diamond tiara is/was/trying not to be an ass hole. perfect union. once cozy is back in ponyville, diamond tiara takes it upon herself to be cozy’s friend and teach her how to be a good person. even if she’s not quite there yet herself. and will likely snap at cozy when she stops listening. and maybe make a few too snide comments about her atrocious curls - but its okay! she’s trying!
also theyre roughly the same age here, i just like the idea of cozy being permanently chubby cheeked and baby faced lol

okay okay no matter what from the su movie has been like. my twi and spike song for ages. esp the idea of them singing it together, spike as steven and twi as amethyst. maybe spike sings it as a means of trying to cheer twilight up and convince her she can do something or get through this tough time, as he usually does. idk ah i love cheesy fluffy stuff AH. its been rattling around in my head for ages and i stg if i had the patience id do an animatic or something
i just. the idea of twilight raising him, while when he’s older he starts looking out for her too. basically inseperable, even when twilight reaches princesshood. it makes me happy.

teef! ive been meaning to do a full hc thing on dragons in general, but ill start with spikey wikey
so dragons come in different species, close enough in genetic relation to each other that they can interbreed. their diet and evolutionary adaptations can vary greatly between them, however.
spike here is a gastrolith, meaning that he swallows stones. these rest in his stomach and help with the digestion and grinding of any food. most ponies mistake him for only needing to eat rocks, but he still needs like. actual food to survive lol. in the wild this would be different kinds of plant matter, but growing up around ponies means he also gets a lot of sugary sweets and cupcakes too. gives him his chub.
his large canines aren’t for eating purposes. they exist for attracting mates, and what dragons seem to do best - fighting! he also has naturally thick scales, to help resist bites and attacks from other competing dragons… but since spike is considerably softer than most dragons, and never really had a need for them, his teeth are relatively short and blunt compared to most males his age. rip spike.
anyway this was rlly fun and interesting to do, and its made me wanna make more dragon hcs. so!! maybe thatll be what i work on next? ive got a lot of ideas….
