@sectoid
They’re basically at the “they have advanced machinery” level of development. I figured it’d be neat if that’s how Equestria got some of their more random and sudden high-tech items despite their world being a lot more almost medieval-era, is maybe they’ve been brought over from this other country. It reminds me of a friend of mine whose a soldier whose told me about going to developing countries and seeing how the people live in like thatched-roof huts without running water or electricity, but everyone has a cell phone with a data plan and there’s cars on the road :D
@Badumsquish
Hmmm, maybe more like Detroit: Become Human? Or perhaps Blade Runner? I’m trying not to go too high-tech with these (even though I know next to nothing about those series,) all I know is that the city from The Fifth Element is right out along with Coruscant.
@sectoid @Phantom Rider
Basically, Equestria uses weaponized friendship to drive away the windigos, Eventide uses napalm. Both ideas work, both ideas have some total “wait, what?” aspects of them :P
@Badumsquish
Aaaah, so that’s what Eventide is. It sounded more like the name of some floating city-sized cruise ship to me. The more I think about it, the more I like the idea…
@Bronydog
She’s from a country that’s like the dark mirror of Equestria. They’re basically everything Equestria isn’t, for better and for worse. They’re technologically advanced, aggressive and isolationist, things like that. They’re technically enemies of Equestria, but both they and Equestria know a war would basically boil down to nukes vs alicorns and superartifacts, so neither side is dumb enough to start shit and they basically begrudgingly tolerate one another. They’re mostly ponies, but they do have a minority population of monsters and monster ponies :D
Everytime a pony by this guy has drawn a pony as a permanent resident rather than a citizen, they tend to have some abnormality relating to the country they come from. That’s something to say there can’t be normal ponies outside of Equestria, but if he was trying to prove her as a normal pony… You think he might use an citizen ID rather than a permanent residency card.
In addition, this picture is considered part of the “Equestria and the world” series, a series that has shown abnormal pony or pony like races living in equestria, and it’s specifically only this part, despite it being a sequel to a part that shows her bing normal… Yet hear, with as of yet unexplained magic, and a card traditionally associated with unique ponies…. This one specifically gets labeled as part of that series.
@DEADSKILL
I based it on the real life US permanent resident card that my parents had. The card expires the same way a passport does and you gotta renew it every so often :P

(Scribbles “demon heritage?” on notepad…)
All of that sounds amazing :D

@Power-Up&Sky-Blue
…That we know of >:D
At least she’s not a barbaric hell pony…
Those ones are not known for their table manners…

Oh, that’s good, actually. Throw in some mashed potatoes and gravy and it’ll be the breakfast from Twister.
She’s more a steak and eggs for breakfast type :P
@Bronydog
:P
@sectoid
Their bigger cities are, a little. Not nearly as futuristic though :P
Also, is it weird that I’m imagining Eventide looking like Night City from Cyberpunk 2077?
YOU
If Eventide is truly Equestria but reversed, then probably.
Next you’ll tell us she pours milk before cereal.
Not as much as you’d think. They’re not exactly easy targets :P
@Bronydog
Oh man there is absolutely something fishy and abnormal about her. She eats pizza crust-first :P
She is still fishy, but atlest the suspicions that she was abnormal were founded.
With how you described them, Eventide must have to deal with Windigos a lot, huh?
@Phantom Rider

Awesome.

Thanks for clearing that up for me

Hahahahahaha XD
@chucklefarts
Eventually :P
Are you from 8 months in the future? How’s November, is it worse than April?
Though it expires in ten days, lol.
