Reading/hearing these stories is actually a bit terrifying. I can’t find some interesting stories about the CCP, especially in the Cultural Revolution Era (probably because reading in wikipedia seems hard to believe from some sources they got) due to the CCP’s propaganda/inadequate sources.
 
While I’m not a Taiwanese, I’ll always support the Republic of China (Taiwan) and the Taiwanese people and hopefully one day, the ideas of communism and socialism is no longer in practice in the future.

You know what? Most of the failure people used to accuse Mao and socialism was led by Deng Xiaoping and other groups of capitalists. I use an example in the brony community: Lauren uses MLP to help people understand friendship, I(the villain) will do bad things and tell you: you should be tolerant about those things because this is MLP!(Deng’s forces: You said to have a Big Leap, we announce that we will take a leap across the milky way.)  
When in the Big leap, Mao said China will have more iron output than the UK in 15 years, while Deng changed it into 5 and started the Big Iron Refine. And he took pictures in front of crops and said that the output is 110,000, and Liu Shaoqi said one with great courage can make that much output(like 20% cooler, while how much output is not said). All these caused some starvation afterward. But in the beginning, Mao only said to be “more, quick, good and saving”, while those enemies used more and quick to undermine the Big Leap and the 3-year GPCR.  
When the Great Proletarian Cultural Revolution started, a lot of chaos was started by Deng’s daughter who was a conservative red guard and killed her dean. While Mao strictly against outlaws who like to fight in fists. He approved actions like to fight in literature which helps people know that capitalists are exploiting workers.  
Nowadays, the village Xiaogang has returned the method Mao has used. They hold stocks like Huawei workers. And they are now out of poverty.  
So it’s probable that Zhou Enlai and Mao’s socialism route is right.  
Oh, wait, we’re not talking about communist in this post. But we will truly rip the benefits of socialism, so as Taiwan people.

Communism is a socio-economic theory by Karl Marx which (simply) all productions is controlled by the people, not by the state/government, and they’re basically the opposite of Capitalism. In politics, they just want to establish a communists society, by any means necessary.
 
As an anti-communists, I can say that communism in theory is actually a great idea, but most, if not all communists states that ever exists since 1923 done very poorly in practice. More specifically and ironically, China, and North Korea, for instance, just made most productions controlled by the state/government and not the people. All of these nations that I mentioned also did a bunch of crimes against humanity, they’re so many of them that I suggest to research it. They hid it very well that they persuade the public that this nations are either ‘great and nice’ or ‘nothing interesting.’ Oh yeah, don’t forget about the poverty in those countries as well, especially in China, while they’re rich nations, most of the riches are from the party itself.
 
As of for now, no country in history manage to establish a real communists society/utopia. Even worst, either upside down or mostly resembles to Nationalism than Communism.
