Description

These are vectored MLPFIM-styled Generation 1, Year 7 ponies: the Sweetheart Sisters, a special type of pony toys by Hasbro that appeared in ’87-‘88. Here are Wild Flower (left) and Flowerburst (right,) both ponies toys that I have bought all the way back when they came out (and still have. I’ve not been able to buy the four others that belonged in the collection back then… :nuu: )
I preferred them over the original because they simply looked -better- and way more cute. Amusingly enough, they were about the same height as the other pony toys, and Hasbro pretended they were younger ponies (teen or something.) Haha, silly Hasbro. To me, they simply looked like more refined ponies. :P
So this is why they look like super-model FiM-style ponies to me: they were much slender than the original toys Hasbro would still put on the market back then, they were more complex (just look at those cutie mark!) and they had slightly more accessories (not every pony toy had bows made of -tissue-, much less earrings.) I tried to stick to their original colourings, and did not outright copy their cutie marks (even if they look closely like the originals.) Their mane and tail were simply long, and very shiny (but no glitter,) so I went with a very simple mane and tail styling.
Someday, I’ll vector and FiM-ize the other pony toys I have…
