Description

Which cartoon mom reminds you of yours? She can either be a bubbly baker, a caring work-a-holic, a wise and blissful housewife, or a mean-spirited woman married to a rich man who lets others do the work for her. I’d probably lean toward the first three. :XD:

Happy Mother’s Day, everyone, hope your moms know how special she is to you. I know I let my mother know. :)

When it came to choosing only four cartoon moms from the wide range of television shows, it’s wasn’t exactly that hard. Some were rejected for still being vividly new shows, others seemed a little uninteresting to add to the mixture that is my picture, and others were just ones that I absolutely HATE(I’m looking at Mrs. Turner from The Fairly Oddparents). :roll: I was almost going to consider adding a Disney Junior cartoon mom like the mother of Doc McStuffins or Momma from the newest show ‘Henry Hugglemonster’, but I think I wanted to stick with a cartoon mom I loved back when Disney Channel in general was still very interesting(yeah, those were the years when The Buzz on Maggie was on). I also considered using the mother of Spongebob Squarepants, but then I had an undeniable feeling about how she seemed to ‘lack perspective’ from the years I’ve watched her, so it was kind of sad to reject her. Other moms could have worked, but four was all I could give. ^^;

Here are our mothers:

:bulletpink: Cup Cake from My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic:
Ever since I first saw her in Season 1, I was mainly mesmerized by her mane style…it looks like frosting and I LOVE sweets. :XD: Then when Season 2 progressed she was given the role of a mother, and gave birth to two BEAUTIFUL foals. :aww: Her bubbly personality almost that with Pinkie Pie and the love and care she gives to both her family and her sweets is one of the things that makes Ponyville so great, and I do wish for more episodes featuring her. Her and her adorable frosting-like hair. :XD:

:bulletgreen: Frida Pesky from The Buzz on Maggie:
Back in 2005 when Disney Channel still had some decency, a cartoon show of the given name was one of few that truly caught my eye. It’s a show about bugs, mainly flies, how more original can I say? :XD: Anyway, there are a lot of mean-spirited characters on the show sometimes, but then there are those who make your heart melt. Besides Maggie having hers special moments, it’s her mother I always have eyes for the most. Frida is a housewife with a good heart and very understanding of her rebellious, rockstar-wannabe daughter, even treasuring and encouraging her to pursue her passion of rock and roll while also providing some sort of advice for her problems. I just love her. :aww:

:bulletwhite: Nicole Watterson from The Amazing World of Gumball:
What can I say about her since she’s one of the biggest objects of ‘amazing’ other than her son’s romance with an antlered-peanut girl or an emo ghost contacting the spirits of the dead? :XD: Well, she works hard, representing any hard-working mother today. She tries to be patient while balancing out her understanding to her family, mainly Gumball and Richard. :XD: She kicks butt really well…that’s the epic part about her. :XD: Like a mix of Chuck Norris and Sandra Bullock. :rofl: To me, she makes any scene from the show very interesting. :nod:

:bulletyellow: And finally, Arpa DeFault from Robot and Monster:
Why did I choose this degrading hunk of ‘Fool’s Gold’?
Well, I didn’t do it because :iconrobot-and-monster: is one of my favorite shows if that’s what you’re implying…I added her in the mix to provide that uncomfortable atmosphere in which she can’t deny how ‘unfit’ she is compared to the other chosen mothers, especially Nicole. Judgmental, harsh, mean-spirited, and turns her nose up at the ‘lower class’ like some stuck-up Canterlot pony to someone who mentioned Ponyville. Chides her youngest son Robot because of how ‘different’ he is from the rest of the greedy and mean-spirited DeFault family. As mean as she is…for any RnM fan who has watched the episodes that piled in, I’m sure you can recall her role in “Family Business” [link] and wonder Maybe deep down she does love her youngest and most distinguished son? We can’t really figure that out…the ‘cold and indifference’ crowd is still there in the show. ^^;

Looking to Nicole pretty much is referring to this [link] (which the summary in that link will explain A LOT)…and how it would be pretty obvious how much Arpa would envy her. ^^;

Arpa would envy any mother because of how ‘perfect’ each seem with her own care and originality…Arpa couldn’t fit that name even with all the money in the world. :(

That’s why the question reigns for her…Mother of the Year? When she obviously can tell such a title could go for Nicole. :(

Well, your choice of a perfect mom or who perfectly reminds you of your mom the most, Happy Mother’s Day, and hope the flowers were worth every penny. :XD:

The only ones that don’t come from shitty shows are- Mrs. Cake and Nicole.
Buzz on Maggie was another canadian animated fail that I’m glad was burnt to the ground, and Robot and Monster…just….SERIOUSLY? THAT TITLE NAME? Ever since Ren and Stimpy it seems people think that having duos like “X & X” as their title for the show makes it an instant hit.
