I wouldn’t call it impossible. Eliminate all the same sex pairings and friendzoned characters, and it’s pretty much near the top of the list behind SoarinDash (And Sparity, as if). It’s still just wishful thinking but preferring fanon to canon doesn’t make me feel good at all. I picked this team and I am going to root for this team, no matter what the odds. If we go down in flames, well at least we tried. We had a dream.

Seeing it happen in the show would be awesome, but nearly impossible. If there’s more interaction between them, i’m more than happy.

Hah, delusional. I like that. Delusional. Good word. The last time I was “delusional” about a pairing, the author said that yes, she should have gone with that pairing.
I know, I’m pretty much delusional at this point but I have no reason to think that source was a fake. Still it could probably be misinterpreted somewhow.
I want this to happen so much that I’m paranoid about hearing things like this without evidence because I don’t want to get my hopes up.
Any hints of CheeriMac have been purely animation filler since Hearts and Hooves Day. We know they are friends that like to tease but anything more than that is just assumptions.
I dunno, but if they want FlutterMac to happen, then they’ll have to do something about CheeriMac.
Still, I don’t care about canon. These two are a cute couple
I know of a artist who is friends with a liaison person in Hasbro’s marketing team (the people who lurk in the internet fandom and take notes) and according to him, they want FlutterMac to happen… eventually. I picked up this tidbit in Dec. 2012, around the time this season was being written so if not this season, maybe eventually. Sounds crazy but who knows, I thought the rumor of Big Mac getting a song was nuts when it first surfaced.
I really doubt we’ll see them interacting as more than just friends in the show…but five more years of pone is quite a long time. Who knows, maybe more interaction will be just fine.
