Gun safety 101, don’t put your finger on the trigger unless you intend to shoot. See the gun above AJ’s head? Notice where her finger is, that is bad trigger discipline.

The reason for trigger discipline is to prevent “accidental discharge.” If you are walking around with a loaded gun with your finger on the trigger, assume everything bad that could happen. Like tripping for example, the force of falling down or losing your balance most likely will cause the gun to go off potentially hurting/killing yourself/someone else.

ALWAYS keep your finger on the trigger guard(that is the ring around the trigger) when walking around with a weapon whether it is loaded or not(and point it in a safe direction). This lessens the chance that an accidental discharge can happen but may not completely prevent it, again always assume the worst can happen.
