A very nice picture, but a part of me firmly believes that Celestia wouldn’t have it in her to kill her sister. Even for the sake of Equestria.

My headcanon: Celestia killed Luna, but the Moon is like Luna’s Horcrux, so she’s not really “Dead” unless the Moon were destroyed, hence her ability to return.

So… not to dig up old memes or anything, but since in this reality Celestia killed her sister… …does this mean she eventually grows cold and becomes a tyrant?

for that matter:
Good End: Luna is freed of the nightmare, and lives happily with her sister.
Bad End: Celestia fails to free Luna, and Nightmare Moon brings eternal night for real.
True End: Luna realizes her own mistake after being fataly wounded, and makes amends with Celestia thus she doesn’t die as a monster.

‘Good end’ would be Celestia freeing Luna then and there. ‘Okay ending’ would be to banish Luna so that she’d be freed properly in 1000 years. ‘Bad End’ is this, where Luna is permanently dead. Luna may be my least-favorite Princess, but I’d still feel bad if she were dead or otherwise on a bus.
