Actually, Sunset Shimmer is also an assist on the Canterlot High stage. (Who can also transform into her demon form.) Its different every time the stage is played, like Spear Pillar in Brawl.

Actually, the Dazzlings are stage-exclusive assists and will assist any fighter who interacts with them. They transform into their siren forms after some time has passed.
Also, ironically, the ending was not the exact same as the first movie.
