I like how I could actually hear the first part of that dialogue play out in my head as I read it.

Dr. Kleiner: Never fear, Gordon! She’s debeaked and completely harmless! The worst she might do is attempt to couple with your head! Fruitlessly.
 
Barney: Get that thing away from me!
 
Dr. Kleiner: Here, my pet! Hop up!
 
Lamarr: jumps up on top of a shelf
 
Dr. Kleiner: No! Not up there! No! No! Careful, Lamarr. Those are QUITE FRAGILE!
 
Lamarr: crawls into air vent
 
Dr. Kleiner: Oh fine! It’ll be another week before I can coax her out of there.
 
Barney: Yeah, longer if we’re lucky.
 
Alyx: chuckles Barney. You’re not an animal-person?
 
Barney: Ugh!
 
Lamarr: crawls out of the air vent
 
Fluttershy: seeing Lamarr Hello, Little Guy. I’ve never seen anything like you before.
 
Lamarr: sniffs at a watermelon on the ground
 
Fluttershy: Oh, are you hungry? crushes the melon under her hoof Her you go.
 
Lamarr: eats up
 
Fluttershy: I guess you WERE hungry.
 
Lamarr: hops onto Fluttershy’s back
 
Fluttershy: adoring Lamarr You’re the cutest thing ever! I can’t wait to show you to my friends! spreads her wings and flies back to Ponyville

Don’t worry fluttershy, Lamarr is debeaked

I can assure you it’s based on Lamaar. That’s how the headcrab’s “mandibles” around their maws look like, with or without teeth. They just happen to look like they could poke an eye out but are otherwise fleshy and blunt.

Er, I mean it looks like this crab still has it’s mouth-teeth so I am not sure this is Lamarr who had been de-beaked and could do more then just “couple with your head”.

You mean the frontal claws? If those weren’t declawed it’s unlikely to be as dangerous as a regular headcrab’s teeth.
 
Plus Lamarr’s teeth were removed. It can still attempt to attach itself to a head, but it can’t cling to it and so Flutters will, at worst, look like she’s wearing a live hat (if the headcrab doesn’t crush the grub).

I would like to believe this but I think it still has fangs… Then again if it wants to get her head it is going have to go through that grub and I have a funny feeling the spitters will have already takin a likeing to the “pony nurse” and will not take kindly to actions against their siblings or Flutters.
