When it’s a meme image or something, it’s okay. You’re expected to trace. Or of it’s part of a joke. But if it’s drawn for the sake of just being art, then it is ALWAYS stealing to not get permission first. And then even when it’s a trace done to intentionally reference a picture, you still need to make sure you give credit.

I didn’t make this, just posted it. But, the pose has been used so many times by so many folks I’m not sure it counts as stealing (unless whoever made the original, whenever that was, minds - in which case I feel reeeeeally sorry for that poor sap.)
